About Our Name

 The Name Blacksquare is from a 1913 painting by avant-garde artist Kasimir Malevich. His painting, "Black Square," heralded the beginning of abstract art, changing the art world forever. From that point on, art had to be viewed in new light. We look to this turning point as we combine design and technology in a new era.
